Preparing a new bar above the supermarket

Rumors have circulated during this last summer about the bar Amberes. Now we can say it for sure: bar Amberes is not going to open again in 2012. At this point it is still not decided what we are going to do in that building. It is possible that next summer that space is simply closed.
But we are right now preparing the alternative for 2012: a new bar above the supermarket. It is planned to be a kind of lounge bar, with rather confortable chairs or armchairs.
Decoration, furniture, painting... are still uncertain, as well as the name of this bar. It will habe a very BIG terrace, that some of you have already visited in its old state. We plan to open that space from early in the morning to late in the evening, probably until 12:00 PM. We hope that clients will use it in order to rest, to read a book, to hear some light music... At least until the evening it should be a quiet space. In the evening/night of the high season we may put some loud music, and so be atractive for young people.
We also plan to offer free WiFi inside this bar, in the rest of the campsite WiFi will not be free.
Comments, suggestions... are welcome. In the next weeks we will post updates on the project. And it should hopefully be finished by beginning May.

Wifi 2011 Prices

This summer, WiFi will continue with rather the same conditions as last summer, with small improvements. We try to cover the public areas, like the swimming pool area, inside and terrace of the internet cafe, and (new) the terrace of the restaurant. Prices this year are the ones shown above. As you can see, you will get 14 days for 25 euros.

Problems with WiFi

The WiFi network worked more or less good for the first weeks, but now we are experiencing problems because the trees have grown more leaves and this seems to stop the communication between antennas. We will be trying to correct this difficulties in the next weeks, by passing lines between antennas. Meanwhile, we are making sure that at least the WiFi works correctly inside and in the terrace in front of the internet cafe. Sorry for the problems.

Internet connections

 About internet connections, there is the restaurant at the entrance with internet computers, opening from 1st April. Besides, we will open the internet cafe on 1st May. And there is the bar Amberes opening at the end of June, also with several computers.

The novelty this year will be a better coverage for WiFi, we will be changing the main antenna, installing additional antennas, and we are looking to take another ADSL connection to provide enough speed. Prices will also improve, cheaper prices and the possibility to buy two weeks or one month at a reasonable price.

The prices in our internet cafe and for the WiFi will be:

• computer, aprox. 20 minutes: 1 €
• WiFi, 1 hour (continuous): 2 €
• WiFi, 1 day (continuous): 8 €
• WiFi, 7 days (continuous): 15 €
• WiFi, 14 days (continuous): 25 €
• WiFi, 30 days (continuous): 30 €

Internet cafe, new opening

We will open the internet cafe on 1st May, with the following prices:

• Computer, aprox. 20 minutes: 1 €
• WiFi, aprox. 1 hour (continuous): 2 €
• WiFi, aprox. 2 hours (continuous): 3 €
• WiFi, aprox. 24 hours (continuous): 10 €

As you can see, we have lowered the price of the computers that we provide inside (from 15 to 20 minutes for 1 euro) and there are two new prices for WiFi, 1 hour and 2 hours, instead of only 24 hours. These new prices should make the WiFi cheaper and more flexible.

WiFi around the internet cafe

We are going to install WiFi internet access inside and around the Internet Cafe. It is going to be working in about one week, now it is sure. Current price during this summer is 10 euros for a 24 hours continuous period.

WiFi problems

We have had some planning problems with the WiFi zone. At this moment it is still not working, it will probably work in about one week. We will keep you informed.

Internet Cafe

The Internet Cafe has finally arrived! In a central place, beside the supermarket, it will open every day from 7:00 to 24:00. It is intended mainly for breakfast, sandwiches, pizzas and lots of drinks. There are currently 4 internet computers. A WiFi zone is going to work in approximately one week.

New WiFi

At the beginning of July we are going to open the Internet Cafe, which will have 4 internet computers and a WiFi zone. You will be able to bring your laptop computer, sit in one of the tables and connect to internet. We plan to open it each day at 7 o'clock in the morning, in order to take breakfast.
