New equipment being painted

Some of the poles discharged some days ago are being painted. More about it in the next days.

Secret demolition also finished

There was also another demolition running in parallel: a part of the building at the end of the street 20, where some toilets, showers... are located, and it is also used for the campsite's needs for storage. That building comes still from the times of the old camping La Estrella. We have now demolished a part that was not used and have tried to clean a little bit the general image. As a result, an ugly part of the campsite is now acceptable. Here you can see Vadim painting the final touches.

Preparing a new workshop

We are modifying the old Bar Amberes to be the new gardener's workshop. Here you see some masons preparing a new entrance in the north side. This workshop should be ready, with all the furniture and machines, in about one month. Then we will move all the contents from the old workshop to this new place.

Painting the wooden floor

Inside, the wooden floor is almost finished and the painters are now applying the first layer of fireproof varnish. Next week will be the last one before the opening, planned on sunday 1st July.

Fireproof paint for steel beams

In order to assure some fire resistance, metal beams have to be painted with a special fireproof paint. Here a painter is protecting a steel beam. The paint is very toxic and therefore that misterious suit. Afterwards, a more normal paint is going to give the final colour, but this will happen in some more days.

Painting old bungalows

Since several weeks Sebas and Vadim are painting the bungalows in Sector C. The terrace was in a very bad state, partly because of the irrigation system that during the night throws water around. We are now using the same color and type of water-based painting that was used in the Sector B.

Painting the pool deck

Lifeguards are just now painting again the pool deck, they are using a natural oil-based paint, without toxicity. After all the high season is over, with the people, a lot of sun... the wood needs some treatment. This time we are also trying an anti-gliding paint around the showers, in order to prevent accidents.

What color to choose

In the swimming pool area, the entrance to the machine room was of natural concrete. We are now looking to integrate it more in the environment, and Vadim is painting it in dark grey. We will see...

Painting again and again

It is again time to re-paint the wood around the swimming pool, the lifeguards are using a mixture of natural oils and teinture. This will have to be done regularly each 3-4 months.

Today it is sunday but there is a strong fresh air, tramuntana, that seems to scare to the possible swimmers, although it is sunny and the water is not at all cold, or at least warmer than in the beach.

Mainting a maintenance building

Ramón is painting the big maintenance building, near the campsite's entrance. It changes from green to beige.

Painting the showers near the beach

The famous painters are now working in the showers near the beach. The building is going to change from white to beige-green.

Another color for the swimming pool

The swimming pool is being repainted with the new beige color, in order to be better integrated with the other buildings nearby. The swimming pool should last, at least, one more year before being replaced.

Painting the Bar Amberes

We are in the process of painting the Bar Amberes with the new beige color. We have also just changed the signs and pictures, that now look better, according to the new color and to the decoration in the restaurant and supermarket.

Decorating outside the restaurant

The restaurant of the campsite has a new outdoors decoration: the color of the walls, the lights and the signs. Anyway, the lights will surely change this next winter.

In front of the restaurant, the new trees did not survive last summer, so we had to change them by some bushes, that will eventually grow.

Our new petanque area

After the roads and new plots, now it is time to finish the petanque areas. Here painting and fixing the big pieces of wood.

A new color for the restaurant

We are painting the restaurant building with the same color used for the new supermarket. New lights and signs will surely follow.

Painting a new color also in the showers

We are painting with the new color the big showers building, in the Estrella zone.

Painting the wall with the new color

We are painting in another color the wall that surrounds the camping. The new color will look more natural and it will be also more practical.

Changes in the reception

We are painting and changing all the furniture in the reception. As a result, there will be more space for the receptionists, as well as an internal bureau with enough tables to support modern equipment.
