Arranging the beach

The coast administration is trying to protect the dunes and plants in the beach. During these days they are putting fences to limit both the parking lots and the entrances to the beach. In the middle term, this will help giving a more natural appearance to the environment in front of the campsite.

Problems with WiFi

The WiFi network worked more or less good for the first weeks, but now we are experiencing problems because the trees have grown more leaves and this seems to stop the communication between antennas. We will be trying to correct this difficulties in the next weeks, by passing lines between antennas. Meanwhile, we are making sure that at least the WiFi works correctly inside and in the terrace in front of the internet cafe. Sorry for the problems.

New on-line reservation

Today we start the new on-line reservation system, that should allow payments by credit card and thus the instant confirmation of a reservation. By now, the system only works for apartments, bungalows and mobilhomes; camping plots are not accesible because the system does not allow for the user to tell us his/her preferences.

The old reservation system will still be accessible, both for the camping plots and also for the clients that want to send us comments and preferences about the reservation.

17 new bungalows

The new bungalows are fully finished. Some plants are still small, but the old trees and the new grass are hopefully enough to give an atractive look.

Easying garbage collection

Ramón and Manolo are fixing a garbage post, intended to hold 2 garbage bags. This is an important change this year, we have removed almost all the old garbage posts, coupled them in groups of two, and we are going to put them just at the corners of the streets, instead of having a lot of single garbage bags distributed all along the streets.

This will reduce the noise and ease our task when collecting, each morning, the garbage bags, as well as possibly allow next year to select between organic and generic garbage. This year, however, both bags are going to be used for generic garbage.

Better showers near the beach

In the showers near the beach, we have changed the opening handles, now they close automatically and they are easier to control. This was already done since some years in the other showers of the campsite.

Internet connections

 About internet connections, there is the restaurant at the entrance with internet computers, opening from 1st April. Besides, we will open the internet cafe on 1st May. And there is the bar Amberes opening at the end of June, also with several computers.

The novelty this year will be a better coverage for WiFi, we will be changing the main antenna, installing additional antennas, and we are looking to take another ADSL connection to provide enough speed. Prices will also improve, cheaper prices and the possibility to buy two weeks or one month at a reasonable price.

The prices in our internet cafe and for the WiFi will be:

• WiFi, 1 day (continuous): 8 €
• WiFi, 7 days (continuous): 15 €
• WiFi, 14 days (continuous): 25 €
• WiFi, 30 days (continuous): 30 €

Preparing for the grass

Mamadu and Sebas are preparing the terrain in front of the new bungalows.

New fence near the bungalows

Pep is putting some poles of the new fence; this fence extends the parking area of the bungalows towards the south-west side.

Mainting a maintenance building

Ramón is painting the big maintenance building, near the campsite's entrance. It changes from green to beige.
