Efforts for control

In 2013 we will introduce 'control wristbands', in an effort to increasy security. From start to end season, all the clients will have to wear a fixed wristband. We are defining now the material, dimensions and overall design so that it will be the most confortable. The goal is to wear something that does not disturb you and also that you are not ashamed of wearing it. The design (colors, symbols...) will be as unobstrusive and casual as possible, while at the same time providing us with enough clues as to recognise it from nearby. Final design will be disclosed in about one month.

We are coming there to have an nice holiday, no Bootcamp. And then after 3 weeks holiday we have a white stripe around our wrists. Rediculous!!!!

  7. It might be a good idea for the camping but i think most of your guests will not be happy about it ..i think you will lose guests doing that...it will look like your guests will be in a prison camp....i suggest some other solution like giving everybody a pass or something like that....

  9. I this a joke???? It's not the first of April yet??? If not whats next?
the same swim suits!!! or are we getting a striped uniform next? Are we alowed to go to the toilets when ever we want or is that the next step?
Now everthing is getting regulated by the camping. If i wanted to get a regulated holiday I would book a all inclusieve resort.

    In One word STUPIDITY

  15. To Rafael,

I don't think that this is not a wise decision for men to force to wear such a kind of material, wise is to give the people this stuff for promotion outside the camping, but not to carry on your body on the camping place.
For me, i don't wear it because of a allergic reaction on my skin in combination with sweat, and i hope to sweat a lot comming summer, because then we know that the sun is shining a lot.

I hope that this message can bring you to other thoughts about this plan.

    With kind greetings.
    Cees van Gils.

  18. OK, so this seems a little over the top, but last year in 2012, many cycles were stolen overnight, including one of mine. Many people come in and use the facilities without paying, basically, if you want to, you can come in and use the pool, the shop and the bar. Something has to be done to ensure the safety of your things. We all go camping on trust that your neighbours will be there to look after your things, but unwanted visitors prevent this. Higher walls have been built, and more staff in security. I agree that wristbands are intrusive, but what else can they do? Even more security staff? We have been camping there for 20 years now, and will not let this stop us.

  22. Ok, we see that there is a lot of people that do not like to wear always the control wristband.
We could do this: in the reception we give as many wristbands as members of the family (older than, let's say... 8 years). We don't inmediately fix them. Then, the persons that do not want to always wear it, could just put in in their pocket. At the swimming pool, camping plots and bungalows areas the guards may ask to the people for the wristbands. If you have it fixed in one hand or foot then it is obvious. If you have it in your pocket, just take it out and show it. In that way, we lose a bit of control but the wristband is similar to a card.
What do you think about it?

    1. Rafael, you will never please everyone, but something has to be done to control all the non guests coming in. However, many local people use the shop and bar and restaurant too, can you afford to lose them?

    2. By now we are only looking to control the people in the swimming pool and also in the camping plots and bungalows... We don't plan to control people in the supermarket or restaurant. Ideally the campsite could be like a club, where even people from empuriabrava that enter inside to buy or eat something should first have to be 'registered users', a free process in the reception. In that way we would have more control about who enters. But we are not yet there... step by step, and we will see also meanwhile what clients think about it.

    4. Rafael , this is very good. If the people don't put the band on arm or feet, and they have forget in their caravan, by returning from the beach or city: NO ENTRY !!!! No mercy, this is for our safety.

Perfect! See you in July.
