New connection boxes

The camping plots beside the swimming pool area have been modified because of the new slopes that are now needed. This has obliged us to remove the old boxes for water and electricity, and thus it was the occasion to try a new type of 'box' for that equipment, we name it box 4.0, our fourth version. We think it follows the EU guidances for electrical equipment. You can see that there are the new EU electricity connectors, the typical water connectors, it misses a water drain just below them, but at a few centimeters distance there are two water drains for connections from the caravans.

In the next days we will put what is missing: a fence and a line of bushes to separate these plots from the swimming pool area. Afterwards we will try that grass grows everywhere.

Filling with concrete in children's pool

Here finishing the concrete around the children's swimming pool. You can see that it is going to be about 40 cm deep. In a couple of days we will begin putting the tiles inside that small pool.

Putting pieces together

Meanwhile there is also a lot of work to be done in the new machine room. Antonio and Salvador are here trying to figure out what to do with all the pieces. You can see some of the big filters that are needed to clean the water.

Building another wall

We are again throwing concrete. This time, we are building a second wall around the swimming pool. This process will last the whole day. Before that, the walls have been prepared with the boxes for the lights and other appliances.

The big filling

Time is passing, by now we have been lucky that there has not been much rain. Here you can see how we are filling the base with concrete, possibly the most difficult step, since there are a lot of pipes inside that may break during this operation. In the next days we have to test that the pipes are still ok.

Preparing the base layer

The building of the new swimming pool has already begun. We will begin by showing details of how the construction proceeds, the whole picture looks by now like a war area. Here are some workers preparing the base for the new pool. By now we are very lucky because it does not rain, therefore the project goes faster than expected.

Arranging the road beside us

The city council is building a bicycle lane in the road beside the camping, all along the river until the beach. Here you can see two workers fixing some nice wood poles. The city is also trying to arrange some other details, painting new road lines and hiding the garbage containers, by now in a strange way that we hope at the end will be corrected.

Exploring what's below

These last two weeks, some tests have been performed around streets 10-11, in the center of the campsite. The tests are a little bit noisy but they last just a few hours each day, sorry for all the inconveniences. We are looking for information about the ground 10 - 25 m deep. More about that in the next weeks...

A new engine for our web site

After a long process, our web site has been updated in order to use dynamical, php-generated HTML pages. By now you will only notice that URL addresses have changed and some errors have been corrected. In the middle term, this will allow us to update it more easily as well as adopt a more modern look.
