Moving to Facebook and Google+

In the last years there has been more and more people using social media such as Facebook and Google+. Recognizing this, since about 2 years that we are using them more and more. Most of the participation now happens first in Facebook, second in Google+ and very few in the blog. Facebook has a lot of followers, and a lot of people has the Facebook app installed in their phones and use it everyday. In the same way, we feel that the blog is becoming less and less in fashion. It does not make a lot of sense to post the same new first in the blog, after in Facebook and after in Google+... The same post.

New building planned for 2014

We are planning a new building nearby the swimming pool. The objective is to have some functionalities finished by the end of June: a new bar and some toilets. The rest of the building will be developed in the next years and we will put there activities that are much better near the pool.

Almost ready for the new bungalows

ok, so now the area for the new bungalows is almost ready, we expect that next week the bungalows' builders will arrive and begin their work.
Thease last days we have been having lots of rain and also cold weather. At last, winter has arrived. Anyway, all is going enough fast.

Progress in the new bungalows area

Heavy machines are now changing the new bungalows area. All is progressing very good, the weather is still excellent.

Dismounting in progress

Dismounting of the 8 old bungalows for 5 persons is already in progress. In about 10 days they should be gone. New bungalows will arrive in the end of December and meanwhile there will be a complete rebuilding of the garden and all facilities in that area.

Website ready for 2014

These last weeks we have been busy preparing the new design for our web site. Finally it is ready and you can view and use it in www.rubinaresort.com.
The new design tries to be usable from mobile phones in that when viewed in a small screen it then disminishes the number of columns and enlarges the character size. The number of pages has also been reduced drastically, so you don't have to wait so much between loading pages. We have tested in an iPhone with the latest Safari and Chrome browsers. It should work also from other phones. (Please tell us if you have problems from your phone...)

New in 2014: providing bed clothes and towels in the bungalows and apartments

As standard equipment in the bungalows and apartments, in 2014 we will be providing bed clothes and towels. Replacement of all this will be done approximately every 7 days. This is a basic service that will ease the stay of the guests.

Goodbye bungalows 5 persons

We have had 8 bungalows for 5 persons, model Gitotel Club, during the last 12 years. These last years they needed more and more reparations and inside the colors, materials were beginning to look outdated. So this winter we are going to replace them for 8 bungalows 5 persons Plus, the same model as the other ones that we already have. The area, distribution of the bungalows is going to be changed also, to be an extension of the Sector C. More about that in the next days.

Changing colors in the playground

Finally, we can change the black nets by beige nets. The process has begun, there are 3 workers involved and in 3-4 days they should have finished.

Prices for 2014 already available

Prices for the next 2014 season are already available in our web site, more specifically as PDF here. There are some changes in the bungalows/apartments that will be explained in the next posts.
As for the camping plots we distinguish now adults and children. In most camping places children are aged from 3 to 12. Surprisingly here it will be from 3 to 16 years old. The cause of this extension from 12 to 16 is just to adapt better to the tourist tax. As you know, following orders from the inept political dictatorship in Catalonia, we have now to apply a tourist tax of 0,5 € for the persons > 16 years old, for a maximum of 7 days. Distinguishing in this way between adults and children makes it easier to apply this tax, because only adults will pay it.

Changes for 2014 in apartments upstairs

Apartments upstairs are going to be changed following the same criteria as downstairs, explained in the last post. Air conditioning (warm-cold), new furniture, new colors inside, removing the wall from the bedroom, and a wider door to the terrace. Plus, the separator between terraces will be much bigger and nicer, in a similar way to the apartments downstairs, so the terraces are going to have more privacy.
Bed measurents and detailed measurements may change, but this is the idea. About the price, instead of increasing it we are going to REDUCE it, as a promotion for 2014, and it will be the same price as the bungalows for 2 persons.
Reservations are already available in the reception and also on-line.

Changes for 2014 in apartments downstairs

Apartments are going to be redecorated for the 2014 season, with BIG changes. First, air conditioning (warm - cold) will be installed in all the apartments. Second a more modern look with colors - furniture will be arranged.
Here is how apartments downstairs are planned, after a lot of changes because of the comments of some of you. We will keep the capacity of 4/6 persons, with the sofa bed. All the apartments on the ground will be transformed to have this capacity, even the bigger ones that were 7-8 persons. There will be a possible trick to accommodate a 7th person: an additional (exceptional) folding bed that can be put at the end of the main bed. A small exception, one of the apartments will be adapted for wheelchair users.
Bed measurements may change, but we will try to make beds longer and possibly wider. For example, the main bed will surely be of 160 cm width. The sofa bed could be also 2 m long, and in the children's room the beds will have another distribution. In the bathroom we will put white tiles. A big change, in the main bedroom we will remove the wall that separated from the living room, in order to give more space and open it. The apartment's main door will be much bigger, something like 1,5 cm wide, similar to the bungalows, in order to have more light and also open all the space inside.
Reservations for 2014 are already available from the reception, by email or directly from the on-line reservation system.

Brochure 2014

The new brochure for 2014 is ready and we are going to distribute it in a few months, we still have some few boxes with the old one ;-) Anyway it is already in our web here.
The new brochure focuses on the beaches, removes the detailed info about bungalows and adds new photos about services and playgrounds.

Warm days

These days are again very warm. Celia is at aquagym and people can practice and be fresh.

Miss Mini Camping 2013

 

Tonight there has been the Miss Mini Caming event, in the terrace of the Internet Cafe. A big applause for all the participants and the animation team.

Apartments finished by now

The front of the apartments is, since some weeks, completely finished. By now. We are planning more changes during this next winter, mostly in the decoration inside. All these changes will be explained at the end of the summer, once the campsite is again closed.

New 4 bungalows are the best

The 4 new bungalows for 5 Persons Plus are finished, the green area in front of them is the most spacious among all bungalows. By now they have been numbered as 21, 22, 23 and 24 in the Sector C.

New playground already usable

The new children's playground area is already being used. Some details are still missing and we will be completing it in the next months. It is intended for children from 6 years old and the design makes it very safe while requiring a good deal of effort and enthusiasm to cross some paths.

Details in the multisports court

The multisports court is now completely finished with the addition of a sign with the prohibited actions, and an indication that balls can be borrowed from the reception, at no cost (in case you don't bring your own). A very important point, the court will be free to use. By now we don't make reservation lists since it is easier if you can go and inmediately play. If later in the high season there are conflicts we will have to rethink it, but it will be nicer if we can keep it without any list.
There are also lights for the night (if the guards don't automatically turn them on just ask them please), so you can play until 23:00, afterwards it is prohibited because the camping has to be more and more free of noises.

Never ending playground

The street between the river and the new playground is being finished, after a lot of changes and addition of various electrical and water lines. Hopefully now it is definitive and if so we will open the area in several days.
